Small Botanical Garden
Before reaching Safina multipurpose Hall, there is a small garden with crops and trees that grow in Kilimanjaro and other regions of Tanzania to show the importance of taking care of the environment.
They are the following:
  • Banana Tree: It grows in Kilimanjaro and other parts of Tanzania. From banana trees, we get bananas for food, fruits and drink.
  • Fruit trees: Avocado, mango, papaya, orange, tangerine, lemon and guava.
  • Sugarcanes: Used to produce sugar which brings flavor in the food.
  • Yams (majimbi): Used as food.
  • Isale plant: Its leaf is used to seek for reconciliation for those who been quarreled.
  • Mfifina tree: It helps to support yams (viazi vikuu) as they are growing. The leaves of mfifina are used to feed goats before slaughtering them so as to increase the taste of the meet.
